Persistent Faith and Open Hearts
“Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”
Luke 11:9
Today's Reflection
To our community, today's headline of a prominent figure pleading guilty in a corruption case reminds us how easily trust can be broken and how the consequences of human failings impact us all. In a world often shaken by scandal and the abuse of power, the readings call us away from legalism and empty rules, urging us instead to genuine faith, persistent prayer, and a spirit open to the good God longs to give us. We are invited to be agents of restoration, both in our personal circles and in the wider world, bringing hope where trust has been eroded.
When faced with troubling news or personal anxieties, today's readings remind us that we don't need to rely on our own efforts alone—instead, we can bring our needs to God with trust, knowing He listens and responds when we persist in seeking Him.
Just as a parent desires good things for their child, so are we called to care for our families with patience, compassion, and faith—trusting that God, our heavenly Father, will grant us the wisdom and strength we need to love and protect those close to us.
Paul challenges the Galatians—and by extension, all of us—to remember that unity and miracles come not from strict adherence to rules, but from hearts that believe and act with persistent love within our communities.
