Strength through Faith and Unity
“When the time comes, the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say.”
Luke 12:12
Today's Reflection
Dear Brothers and Sisters, today’s news of leaders giving crucial support to protect vulnerable populations mirrors the Gospel’s call to both declare and defend what is good, trusting that wisdom and courage come through God’s Spirit. In moments when others need us—whether in physical defense or in encouragement and prayer—we are reminded that God calls us to act, speak, and stand up for one another. Our solidarity and advocacy for those at risk aligns with Christ’s command to love and defend His Body, the Church, and all humanity.
In hard times, today’s readings remind us that our strength comes not just from our own words or wisdom, but from God’s Spirit working within us—even (and especially) when we feel unsure or under pressure.
Caring for family is illuminated by the call to pray for and encourage each other, empowering us to see the good in our loved ones, and to trust in God’s hope and strength for them, just as Paul prays for the Ephesian community.
Building up the community means recognizing Christ at the head of all things, striving together for peace, protection, and mutual support, so that none stand alone when facing challenge or adversity.
