Living in Hopeful Readiness
“Be like people waiting for their master to return from the wedding feast, ready to open the door as soon as he comes and knocks.”
Luke 12:36
Today's Reflection
Dear Brothers and Sisters, as the world faces ongoing conflict and uncertainty, such as the urgent call to support Ukraine's defense and protect innocent lives, today’s readings remind us of the need to be vigilant and ready to do our part for justice and peace, not just for ourselves but for our global neighbors.
Today's readings remind us that even when we feel isolated or anxious about the challenges ahead, Christ has broken down barriers, drawing us near and giving us hope. We are called to stay ready and awake, trusting that peace and justice are drawing near, even in uncertain times.
In caring for family, these scriptures call us to unity and reconciliation, encouraging us to create a household built on faith, love, and mutual service, just as Christ serves us. With loving attentiveness, we wait together and share the good news of peace in our homes.
We are no longer strangers but fellow-citizens, invited to be part of one spiritual household, actively building up our community in justice and peace. By remaining vigilant and generous, we prepare ourselves and others to welcome Christ’s presence at any moment.
